I visited Bull and Filly’s for New Year’s Eve dinner, and it was an excellent choice. The atmosphere is truly unique, especially for the area. For dinner, I had the steak frites and the garden green salad, both of which were absolutely delicious. The steak was cooked to perfection, and the fries were crispy and flavourful. Service was friendly and attentive, making for a wonderful dining experience. Highly recommend!
Gorgeous inside did not realize it was part of the villa. Searched restaurants for lunch nearby, and the tree caught my attention. We went just after 1 p.m. and waited about 5 minutes before we were greeted and seated. We were initially asked if we had a reservation. The place was quieter, and we were seated right by the bar/pillar, so we didn't get the full experience. (My bad on not making a reservation). The waitress was nice but not overly personable, but it could have just been an off shift or tired after the lunch rush. I tip well for good service, and this was one of the few times I chose the lowest option. Our waters never refilled. We had to raise voice to ask for the cheque as she was standing by POS on her phone. Left the machine on the table for about 5 minutes, and I printed our own copy. The prices are good for the fancier type dishes, but I expected a bit more from the staff. I feel people may tip higher. The food was great, and everything that came from the kitchen looked delicious. Licensed too, which is a plus. Will try again.
The food was overall good. I ordered the 10oz steak blue rare, but it came out more rare. Still tasted good, but not exactly what I ordered. The appetizers were great along with the desserts! I would go back and recommend the place to friends and family.
Honestly this was such a fantastic experience! The menu was a good size and not super overwhelming (which I appreciate) and the food was excellent!! My friend and I wanted to share The Bull burger but also the beet salad (we couldn’t choose !) and our server had everything, including the burger pre split for us! We were blown away! The entire place was so cute and refreshing. We loved the tree too!
We booked the private room and were a group of 12. A big shout out to the Bull and Filly as they were wonderful to work with and very accommodating to all our needs. We ordered a variety of appetizers for people to share, we had a couple of large salads for everyone to share as well. Both the starters and the salads were delicious. Everyone enjoyed being able to choose their own main and the menu did not disappoint. We felt well looked after by the staff and everyone enjoyed their meals. We would definitely recommend them for a group dinner.
Hidden gem in Winnipeg, booked a large group in the private room and was not disappointed at all! The staff were all friendly and happy to help our group. The food was a big hit, there are these cool unique coffee cups. Our server was incredible! Would highly recommend this spot if you want amazing food and the best service!
We had a lovely lunch and were glad we made a reservation, as the restaurant was quite busy—understandable for Mother’s Day weekend. Fortunately, booking online was quick and easy. Although service was a bit slow due to the crowd, we didn’t mind at all—we were too busy soaking in the beautiful atmosphere and elegant decor. The food was absolutely delicious. We both enjoyed the beef dip, which was perfectly done. For dessert, we shared the profiteroles and lemon tart—both indulgent and absolutely worth the extra calories! Thinking about Sunday roast dinner, might be on our next trip!
We all really enjoyed our experience overall. The restaurant is BEAUTIFUL! The server was so kind and very accommodating. The burgers are delicious!! Highly recommend giving this place a try. We will definitely be back. Oh, and the coffee... SO GOOD!
